Please check your registration and advise us of missing details.

Location

The MPBA Fe section is extremely pleased to announce that following policy of making this prestigious two day National event available to as many people as possible, AND in order to fairly share out the time nad expense needed to attend, the section approched the Bridlington club to see if they would be happy to host the event. The Bridlington club has kindly agreed!! Due to the lack of available dates in their and other participating clubs and organisations diaries the nationals will take place on Saturday and Sunday September 13th and 14th 2008. The lake will be available for set up and practice from 2pm on Friday 11th Septembery. You may arrive prior to this on that day but may not use the facilities until this time.

The Format will stay broadly the same with the exception that the MPBA FE section AGM will be held at and during this event (Probably Saturday night) .

Bridlington is a a wonderful example of what a determined club can achieve and the Carnaby facility consists of, a club house and toilets, sufficient space to house the nationals and of course a 70 metre by 80 metre lake!! The whole thing was purpose built by the club.

Directions

The Carnaby lake is four miles from Bridlington. If travelling from Driffield on the A614 (formerly A166 ) on approaching Carnaby village turn right onto Bridlington Bay Road towards Carnaby Industrial Estate, after the level crossing turn onto the Ind Est and proceed past two roundabouts, at the second roundabout you will have on your right "The Global cake Company" and on your left "Carnaby Caravans"which is immediately followed by a small factory, turn left down a track that goes alongside the open yard of this small factory, on the right hand side of the track is a wire fence surounding the next factory called "Romech", following this track will bring you back behind Carnaby Caravans and the pool is on your right.

Race Classes TBC

The nationals will run the following race classes during the weekend. However, a minimum of three competitors will be required to race the class. Whilst in most cases we will be following the Naviga class rules it should be noted that some of these classes do differs.

As a result of the 2002 Fast Electric section AGM, the Start/Finish line for Eco Team racing will be moved from the middle of the course triangle to line up with the baseline buoy to reduce confusion during the race. The race time is 18 min and only one boat from each team is allowed on the water during the race.
