000_0272.JPGAlamo1505 viewsI brought this boat from Astec and am very pleased with the way it looks and performs. It is fast and stable running on BB turbo and 12 cells but think it will handle more power. This get a lot of attention from others when on the water. Would highly recommend if you enjoy fast electrics. Next project is to upgrade to 14 cells to see how it performs.mike collier

ernies.jpgErniy Lazenby's Bluebird K7994 viewsErnie Lazenby's Bluebird started life with powered with a Graupner 1800-3 AsTec FOS90 controlled. The model as pictured here is an exact scale model. Since the picture was taken it has been repowered with a brushless motor and some modifications made to improve it's running. Now it is very fast - heart stoppingly fast!! Ernie has an extensive collection of Bluebird boats - his modelling skill was rewarded by his collection being voted best in show by the attendees at Windermere boat museumastecmodeluk

crusader.jpgCrusader838 viewsThese are stunning pictures of two Crusader models built by Ernie Lazenby and Eddy Matthews of John Cobs original record breaking boat. Like so many other record makers John lost his life to this boat when the front step collapsed. To some extent it must be his fault as he was told that the step was not in the best condition, however like all these people he could not be swayed from his target, climbed back in the boat and never returned. Foolhardy or brave? All we can say is that without people like this nastecmodeluk

ferrari.jpgFerrari hydroplane - Eddy Matthews793 viewsA stunning model of the famous Ferrari Hydroplane. Converted from a (the) static kit, built by Eddy Mathews of Darlington Club.Eddy discarded the heavy frames supplied in the kit and made his own lighter frames using lite ply/balsa. Ernie Lazenby did all the work to convert it to RC including making exact scale stainless steel runing gear set at exactly the same angles etc as the full size boat.
Specs:
Originally powered by 12 turn double modified motor on a 2:1 gearbox
7 sub c 3000 nim cells.

mc32.jpgMiss Canada III780 viewsRon Scaglione's Miss Canada III hydro model from the sbourne Models Kit. The kit is 1/12th scale and 25.5 inches long by 7" beam. Loads of wood to work with!. Ron says " There are a few details to be added to and the white strakes on the hull but she looks the part with the transfers look good. I can’t wait to get her running in her finished state. I’m particularly proud of this one as she was more involving to build than the touchwood kits. I can’t believe her organic shape was made by me, from wood!". Nicastecmodeluk
