WHich esc??

Postby Davem » Sun Dec 27, 2009 6:30 pm

Hi I'm looking for an esc for a boat I'm building.

The motor I'm using is a Feigao 540 short 9, it's going to be built for mono 1, and it's a surface drive dateline storm hull, looking for some advice on which esc to have, not to fussed if it's got a BEC or not, looking to spend around £75

thanks for your help :)

I'd suggest the Etti 90 as a minimum. You would probably also need the capacitor pack.

Cool, so the navy 90 with the capacitor bank in the shop section? Do I need to solder the capicator bank in? Or does it plug in somewhere? Sorry it's my first brushless boat

You need to solder the cap bank in to the power leads.

Is there a diagram to show what I need to do? Or an ESC that I can get to avoide the extra capacitors?

Would the HOR sUppo 125 wr be ok?

Hi you could always use one of these

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8946&Product_Name=Turnigy_Marine_120A_Brushless_Boat_ESC
I used one in my mono1 all last season with no problems
